Storyline

Twenty years after a pandemic radically changes known civilization, Joel, a hardened survivor, lives in a militarized quarantine zone. He's a smuggler, used to dealing in the black market to survive. He's given a mission: to smuggle a young girl named Ellie out of the quarantine zone. Ellie is special; she's immune to the Cordyceps Brain Infection (CBI) that has ravaged the world. This seemingly straightforward job quickly becomes a brutal and heart-wrenching journey as they traverse a post-apocalyptic America, facing infected creatures and ruthless human survivors. The story explores themes of love, loss, and the lengths people will go to for survival. Joel and Ellie form a deep bond as they rely on each other to overcome the dangers that lie ahead. Their journey is not just about survival; it's about finding hope and humanity in a world that has lost both.
